A Last Resort For Love

In a far away village, hidden between tall mountains and deep valleys, guarded by the tall trees and the mist; there were two families, the Yues and the Guis. The Yues were wealth and important, half of the village belonged to them. The Guis were not really poor, but they still had to work for the Yues family. Both families had a heir. Nicholas Yue was a 17 years old man who wasn't as shallow as hius sister Rossy or his parents, he was more concerend about the poor people in the town and he tried to help them each time he could, he lived in a huge house at the tip of a a hill. Josephine Gui was a 17 years old girl whose parents, grandparents, and greatgrandaparents had been working for the Yues, and unforetunately, it was her turn to serve at the Yue House.

Once, Josephine was walking to the local market to buy the groceries for the week; she was just about to cross the street when a young man in a chariot passed in front of her almost runnning over her. Josephine followed the chariot, finding that the man was Nicholas. Angry as never in her life, Josephine yelled to Nicholas, but he just turn around and ignored her. Josephine, grabed his arm and slaped his face. Nicholas got mad as Josephine and yelled at her too. Between the noise and screams interchange, and after a long "chat", both were very tired and decided to make the peace. Nicholas invited her to dinner at his house, and she accepted without thinking it twice.

When they were together, they begun to know each other, and a relationship started. Each day, both went to the clear in the middle of the forest to talk and other things. When day, Rossy, Nicholas's sister frollowed him, discovering ther romance, and as the good sisiter she is, went running to her house to warn their parents. When Mr. Yue heard the news, he wasn't pleased at all, so he fired Josephine's father. Nicholas very angry went to Josephine's house to kidnap her so they could be alone. Just when she rode Nicholas's horse, Mr. Gui entered and saw her escaping. Very worried Mr. Gui told the bad news to Mr. Yue, who hired a detective to look for them.

The detective found them living in a small hut at the north of a near town. A friend of Josephine, Richard, who knew were they were, went to the town to warn them. They run away and looked for a witch who could cover their tracks, so they won't be found. The witch told the couple about an underground river which can take them to a far away land, and in the case they could be found she gave them bottles with a potion that can help them to escape.

The couple went to the cave were the river started. The cave was covered by gemstones and the water was deep green. They ride a boat and begun floating in the water, carried by the tide. The detective had informed the Yues and the Guis about their hut and sent a big number of cops to take them back. When they arrived it was late, but they still could contact the witch, who betrayed the couple and revealed their ubbication. When they were midway to the far land; they heard the cops approaching and the screams of Nicholas's father. Desperate, both drank the potions which transformed them into birds who will live forever as far as they love each other till the end of the times.
